The  winner of the Christmas Trolley Dash Competition did not wish to be named. He asked that the winnings be distributed to local elderly people. Our cadets made the dash, grabbing £460 of groceries which we distributed to the folks in Somerville Gardens. We made a net profit of about £660, used for equipment for the squadron, including new climbing ropes and computer facilities. 

Our thanks to all who bought tickets, to Safeway Supermarket, and especially to our anonymous benefactor whose generosity gave a Merry Christmas to many local old folks!
