A highly successful visit to RAF Cosford for Ross-on-Wye Air Cadets, Poppy Farrugia and Callum Marsh.
They were representing West Mercian Wing Air Training Corps at regional level athletics. Both had been chosen as part of the Wing team after excelling in the inter squadron competition a few weeks earlier. Callum won Gold medals in the high Jump and 200m and a Silver in the 4 x 100m relay, while Poppy won silver medals in the high jump and 200m. They were pitted against cadets from as far a field as Cumbria and the west of Wales and each came back with medals. Poppy was awarded a bronze as the 4 x 100m relay team came in 3rd while Callum received bronze medals in the high jump, 200m and 4 x 100m relay. This is truly a great achievement and bodes well for their success in future sporting events.
