Press release 2002
1002
(Ross-on-Wye) Sqn ATC is celebrating its largest single 1st Class exam pass for
some years. The seven cadets who have all joined the squadron in the last six
months have been able to progress through their training as one group. Pictured
are six cadets after being presented with their certificates. Flt Lt Marsh said
that with a further 5 cadets being trained to take the same exam early in 2003
the squadron has a good grounding for the future and although prior to this
qualification these cadets have been able to take part in such activities as
shooting and glider flying, gaining their 1st Class certificate
allows them to participate in many more of the activities arranged by both the
Squadron and the Corps. The squadron prides itself in drawing young people in
from a wide area and these seven are no exception. As well as Ross they travel
in from Monmouth, Little Birch, Gorsley and Wigpool. If you are 13 years or
more and would like to know more then call the squadron on 01989 563773 (Mon or
Friday evening).
